WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford has suggested that an undisputed fight with unified champion with Errol Spence Jr should take place in the UK.
It looked like the two American rivals were finally set to clash towards the end of 2022, but a breakdown in negotiations meant that a deal could not be made.
Instead, Crawford will now face European 147lb champion David Avanesyan this coming Saturday, but the WBO title holder is still hopeful a fight with Spence can be made in 2023.
“I wouldn’t mind going to London to do it,” Crawford told Thaboxingvoice when asked about making an undisputed fight with Spence.
"You’re gonna make more, trust me, 100%. The UK support boxing more than the US.
“When Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua fight in the UK, they draw 60,000 in a stadium.”
