Terence Crawford reveals the opponent he'd like to fight nextDAZN

After joining Claressa Shields as the only boxers to capture undisputed world championships in two different divisions, Terence Crawford only wants to up the ante.

And that means going for an unprecedented three undisputed crowns.

When Hot 97 evoked the name Jaron "Boots" Ennis as a possible next opponent, Crawford acknowledged that it's a fight that can happen, though he has his sights set on a bigger goal.

"Now that could happen [regarding a fight with Ennis] because we're at the same weight class, but at this point in time, I'm looking for bigger and better opportunities like [Jermell] Charlo," Crawford said.

Charlo, the undisputed junior middleweight champion of the world, is set to move up two divisions to challenge for Canelo Alvarez's undisputed super middleweight crown Sept. 30. "Bud" figures to catch Charlo in the ring sometime thereafter.

In fact, while beating up on Errol Spence Jr. this past weekend, Crawford threw some verbal jabs over to Charlo, who was seated ringside.

"I gave him a little piece of mind," Crawford said.

"We've been going back for some time and I was in the moment. I just thought to let him know that I'm coming for him, too."

He added: "I really don't care for dude. I wouldn't say that I don't like him because I have no reason not to like him. Personally, I just don't care for him."

That being said, Crawford might have to fight Spence again first if "The Truth" activates his rematch clause.

"I'd have to," Crawford said of the rematch if Spence activates that clause.

"It's only right."
