The undisputed welterweight champion is open to it.

Could boxing fans ever see the day that Terence Crawford fights Canelo Alvarez?

Crawford, the newly-crowned undisputed welterweight champion of the world, is open to it.

When the super fight was broached by Charlamagne Tha God on "The Breakfast Club" on Thursday, Crawford entertained the mega bout, but under one condition:

"We can do something at a catchweight," Crawford said of the dream fight.

"Probably, 160 [pounds] or something, 158. Yeah, 158, 160, that would be cool."

When asked who would win, "Bud" didn't flinch before answering himself.

Taking the lower number of 158 pounds that Crawford offered would mean the Omaha, Nebraska native would need to move up from 147 pounds. It would also mean that Canelo would have to move down from 168 pounds, spelling an almost-even exchange to hit this catchweight target.

Crawford confirmed that no talks have taken place yet about the fight, as Canelo is gearing up for his undisputed super middleweight championship defense against Jermell Charlo on September 30. Charlo, the undisputed ruler at junior middleweight, is daring to be great by moving up two weight classes for this fight.

"Bud" has expressed a desire to clash with Charlo for that 154-pound crown thereafter and a win would make him boxing's sole undisputed champion in three different divisions, having already conquered 140 and 147 pounds.

Following Crawford's brilliant performance against Errol Spence Jr., Canelo heaped praised on "Bud," calling him a "f—ing great fighter."
