Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. 2: What's the latest status on the rematch?DAZN
Boxing fans get an update.

Errol Spence Jr. has been quiet since suffering a ninth-round TKO defeat against Terence Crawford late last month.

But that doesn't mean "The Truth" isn't interested in a rematch with "Bud."

In fact, Stephen Espinoza, the president of Showtime Sports, and Jermell Charlo are saying quite the opposite.

"Errol has been consistent — like, he wants the rematch," Espinoza told Fight Hub TV on Tuesday in New York City.

"He said it right after the fight. He hasn't changed. There are a lot of conversations going on internally with his team, some I'm privy to, some I'm not.

"I wouldn't really want to disclose all of those but the question really is what's best for his health? What's best for, sort of, his future? Is it a weight issue at 147? Is [1]54 right for him? Are there lingering effects from the eye [injury] or car accident? All those things are fair questions."

Espinoza added: "He's been through a lot so I think all of that is still to be determined. But the one thing that is absolutely the case is Spence wants the rematch."

Charlo, Spence's stablemate, believes the former unified welterweight world champion wants the rematch badly.

"He's down for the fight," Charlo told a media pool, as reported by Fight Hub TV

Charlo added: "[Spence] is back hungry. He's got some jet fuel in him now."
