One category that will have the fight world’s attention is ‘Fighter of the Year,’ and there are a number of fighters pushing to win that prize.
Here, DAZN News looks at a number of fighters who could be in with a chance of taking home the prestigious prize.
Oleksandr Usyk

The big frontrunner for the award is Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk who made history in 2024 by becoming the first ever undisputed champion at heavyweight during the four-belt era.
Entering the year as one of the sport’s best fighters, Usyk enhanced his credentials massively with two memorable wins over Tyson Fury.
In their first bout, Usyk overcame a tricky start to take over in the fight’s second half when he managed to almost stop Fury in a sensational ninth round following several big attacks.
In the end, Usyk’s huge finish in the championship rounds gave him the advantage and he was handed the verdict by the judges via a close split decision.
At the end of the year, the pair would do battle again, and this time Usyk won in a more convincing manner.
The busier fighter for large portions of the contest, Usyk’s pressure, aggression, and accuracy were enough to hand him another momentous win as he confirmed his position as the world’s best heavyweight.
Will both performances provide him with The Ring recognition this weekend.
Daniel Dubois

After defeating Jarrell Miller with a late stoppage at the backend of the previous year, Dubois was eager to make an impression on the heavyweight landscape.
Facing Filip Hrgovic in the summer to become IBF interim champion, Dubois produced the performance of his career to stop the menacing Croat after weathering an early storm.
Later upgraded to full champion, Dubois would make a huge first defence as he headlined Wembley Stadium against Anthony Joshua.
Starting the fight a huge underdog, Dubois made a mockery of pre-fight predictions as he dropped his domestic rival four times to register a brilliant fifth round victory.
Has this blistering run of form provided those making the award decisions with enough evidence that Dubois should be the winner?
Nick Ball

2024 was kind to Nick Ball, but it could've been even better if not for some contentious scoring.
Following a controversial draw with Rey Vargas, a fight where Ball scored multiple knockdowns, one could be forgiven the Liverpool fighter for being down on the result.
Instead, Ball rebounded brilliantly to become world champion in his very next fight as he outpointed Raymond Ford in a terrific featherweight clash.
Ball would return to his home city in October to make a successful first defence when he eventually stopped Ronny Rios in a tough clash.
Ball is back in action in March when he faces TJ Doheny, but can he produce the type of performance that made him one of 2024’s best fighters?
