Who can challenge "Tank" next?

Another Gervonta "Tank" Davis fight, another electric knockout.

The undefeated 29-year-old superstar unleashed an uppercut followed by a flush left cross to knock Frank Martin out in the eighth round Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With the win, Davis retained his WBA lightweight world championship and improved to 30-0 with 28 KOs. He also has plenty of options for his next fight.

Here, DAZN takes a look at three possible opponents for "Tank" Davis.

Ryan Garcia

"King Ry" didn't waste time lobbying for a rematch with Davis. Following Davis' victory over Martin, Garcia confronted Davis on the ring apron at MGM Grand Garden Arena and delivered a pointed message with the shirt he was wearing.

On the front, the garment read "Tank's No. 1 fan." Then, Garcia turned around to show "rematch me b—h!" written on the back, drawing huge laughs from Davis.

Their original fight, which ended in a seventh-round KO victory for Davis in April 2023, was already big. With Davis coming off the win over Martin and Garcia defeating Devin Haney this past April, Tank-Garcia 2 would figure to be even bigger and more lucrative for both parties.

Shakur Stevenson

Even prior to Davis destroying Martin, Terence Crawford let it be known that his friend Shakur Stevenson could never be toyed with the way Davis did with Martin during their weigh-in Friday.

Then, following Davis' victory, Stevenson himself took to his X account and made a statement of his own:

The boxing brilliance and explosive power of "Tank" matched against the sweet science skills of Stevenson would dazzle.

Stevenson, the WBC lightweight world champion, fights Artem Harutyunyan on July 6. A win there and perhaps he and Davis can explore unifying their titles at 135 pounds.

Vasiliy Lomachenko

The boxing legend's name has been attached to Davis before for a possible mega bout.

Like a Davis-Stevenson fight, a bout pitting "Tank" against Lomachenko would present the latter with the complex puzzle of trying to solve and withstand Davis' explosive knockout power.

It'd also be a unifying lightweight world championship fight as Lomachenko owns the IBF title.

When asked about his interest in a possible November fight against Loma, Davis said in the post-fight press conference: "for sure."
