After becoming a four-division world champion by defeating Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision Saturday night, Terence Crawford can once again count plenty of options for his next fight.
Here, DAZN takes a look at three possible bouts for the consensus pound-for-pound best in the sport of boxing today.
Canelo Alvarez
After getting his first taste of 154 pounds, Terence Crawford maintained that he'd like to move up to 168 pounds and fight Canelo Alvarez in a mega bout.
Crawford didn't back down from that ambition following his win over Madrimov, telling DAZN: "It's just another milestone to greatness, I suppose ... and financially-wise."
Not only that, but earlier in the evening Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, told DAZN: "I [gave Alvarez] an offer. If he's smart, he'll accept it."
He added: "If they accept, we want to see this fight."
If Alvarez handles his business against Edgar Berlanga on September 14, then could we see Canelo vs. Crawford? The world awaits.
Jaron Ennis
Ennis and Crawford crossed paths during the latter's fight week build-up to the Madrimov bout.
They kept it cool but "Boots" Ennis has already said that he'd be willing to follow Crawford to 154 pounds to cement a mega bout between them there.
If Crawford can't get the Canelo fight, would he then opt for Ennis? Or would he attempt to clean out super welterweight toward an unprecedented third undisputed world championship?
Winner of Vergil Ortiz Jr-Serhii Bohachuk
Ortiz fights Serhii Bohachuk on August 10 for the WBC interim super welterweight world title. Would Crawford feel so inclined to fight that winner?
He already owns a world title stake at 154 pounds. Facing the winner of this bout would allow Crawford to add to his super welterweight world title hardware and extend his legendary legacy.
