Tim Tszyu responds to challenge from Errol Spence ahead of Sebastian Fundora fight

Tim Tszyu returns to action tonight.

WBO light middleweight champion Tim Tszyu is hoping to make a statement tonight when he fights for the first time in 2024.

The Australian will be taking on Sebastian Fundora at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and it is a fight which hit a stumbling block in the build-up.

Tszyu was originally set to face Keith Thurman, but the American was forced to pull out with a bicep injury which resulted in Fundora being called up as a late replacement.

If the WBO 154lb champion emerges victorious, it should set up some major matchups for later this year, and one of those could be against a former unified champion at welterweight.

Errol Spence, who has not fought since losing to Terence Crawford last July, will be in attendance at the T-Mobile and claimed that he wants to face the winner in a post on X

Tszyu has since responded to this call out and is eager to face one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.

"Finally, he has woken up," Tszyu told Fight Hub TV

“Look, I am ready. I am ready to be taken on, I’d love that fight with open arms, I’ve been calling him out for a long time now.

“They [Spence and Crawford] are superstars in this sport. They have achieved so much and I am the new blood, this is a new generation and it would be great to have a fight with both of them.”
