Before KSI and Tommy Fury do battle on Saturday night, there is a small matter of the grudge match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis.
This is a rivalry which is set to explode come the weekend after Danis posted a number of personal attacks on social media towards Paul, and one thing Paul cannot afford to do is let his emotions takeover once inside the ring.
If he does, then there is a chance he could lose this fight if he decides to taunt Danis and tries to get him out of there quickly. But Paul can make this fight an easy one if he just sticks to boxing, any attempts to humiliate Danis could prove costly.
For Danis, this will be his boxing debut after previously operating within MMA, and there will be questions as to whether he can make a successful transition to the sweet science.
I’m not saying that he can’t, but from the training videos I have seen, this is looking difficult with Danis looking like an amateur, that’s not an insult, it’s the truth.
We saw what happened to Ben Askren when he fought Jake Paul. Askren was a talented MMA fighter, but once he put the boxing gloves on, he did not know what to do with his hands.
After frequent appearances with WWE, there could be some ring rust for Paul who has not boxed since his exhibition with Floyd Mayweather two years ago, but a ring rusted Paul is more talented boxing wise than someone making their debut.
When it comes to how the fight itself will play out, I believe Paul’s superior boxing ability and Danis’ inexperience will bring the fight to an early end. But if Danis were to triumph, he would need to hope that Paul’s emotions get the better of him and take advantage if the contest turns into a brawl.
