Tommy Fury is hoping to fight this year, but he’s quick to admit that it could be 2025 before he tastes in-ring action again.
Sidelined by a hand injury, the younger brother of Tyson Fury is currently out of action meaning that he’s unable to build on what has been an excellent period of success.
Last year, Fury had two opportunities to display his boxing credentials, but he was made to work hard on both occasions.
Fury climbed off the floor to outpoint Jake Paul before he struggled against KSI, but eventually done enough to get the win.
The popular boxer currently has no plans confirmed, but he has some idea of when his return will take place.
“Injury is going OK, not too bad, I had it done in January, I’m making a full recovery, everything is going according to plan. I speak to the doctors twice a week. Everything is going great,” said Fury when speaking to Boxing Social.
“If I can squeeze one in at the end of the year obviously, I will do that to get the ring rust off because I don’t want to be out too wrong. But if not, we roll on to 2025, start with a bang.”
