Tommy Fury is desperate to get back in the ring following a lengthy absence due to injury.

Tommy Fury is hoping to land a spot on the undercard of his brother’s next world title defence. Tyson Fury appears set to defend his WBC belt against Dillian Whyte later this year with speculation linking their heavyweight clash to take place at Wembley Stadium in April. The younger Fury could make an appearance on the bill after missing out on a huge fight last year.

Last December, Fury was set to travel to America and face YouTube sensation, Jake Paul. The bad-tempered build up between the pair had generated a lot of interest in the fight, but the fight was cancelled when Fury suffered an injury whilst in camp. Fury is still hopeful the fight can be rearranged but he’s hoping to fight in the meantime and sees Tyson’s battle with Whyte as the ideal opportunity.

"I'd like to see the [Paul] fight happen back end of the year,” said Fury when speaking with Sky Sports.

“I'm not really waiting around for him, he knows I'm here and I'm ready to fight at all times. I've put that out there countless times. I'm not the issue here, if we wanted to fight the man would have rescheduled date by now but the ball is in his court. I'm ready to fight whenever.

"I do think the fight is still there because, he's not daft, who else is he going to fight? He's got nobody else to fight.

"This fight is the biggest fight for him to take at the minute and he knows that full well, but I think I'm looking to get a run out on Tyson's undercard next, that's the plan moving forward and then we'll try set that fight up at the end of the year."
