Tommy Fury warns Jake Paul: defeat could stop us fightingDAZN
The light heavyweight is on the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley card this Sunday.

Tommy Fury is worried that a loss to Tyron Woodley would see his hopes of a potential fight with Jake Paul dashed.

Paul fights Woodley on Sunday evening, with Fury fighting on the card against Anthony Taylor. The reality TV star has a two-fight deal stateside, and it is anticipated that Fury and Paul will be the second of those fights.

However Woodley is expected to be Paul’s toughest opponent yet, the closest thing to a traditional fighter that he will have faced in an unbeaten career that boasts little credibility so far.

Speaking to the Mirror, Fury pointed out that he expects Woodley to win, so the pressure is on.

"I've got nearly four million people following me around the world. Jake's got however many he's got. It's a massive colossal fight everyone knows that and provided we both come through our fights, let's get it on," Fury said.

"But it's hard to say. There's no way in hell Tyron should lose this fight. Woodley's been fighting his whole life, he knows what it's like to be in a fight. He knows how to handle himself when he's hurt. Woodley should come through this on Sunday.

"But Jake's Jake. He's been doing this every single day, a lot longer boxing wise than Woodley. The main thing we are looking for on Sunday is how Jake performs when his backs against the ropes, when he's been hit and hurt. I think there's very good chance of that happening on Sunday.

"I have had fights where I've been knocked up and down. So I know what to do and what I've got inside of me. Let's see if Jake Paul's got the minerals for it. If he thinks the real deal, come and face me. I'm no Olympic gold medalist here, I've had six amateur fights when I was a kid. So I'm not great shakes, if he wants to get it on we can get it on."
