Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew suggested that if the money is right, he could make his comeback.
Bellew was one of the best fighters that British boxing produced, and after his time in the ring where he became world champion, he has established himself as a pundit.
Froch is also now in the media after his own successful career, where he became a super middleweight champion.
Now in their forties, the two have occasionally hinted that they might be tempted to get back into the ring, and Froch mooted a potential scrap with Bellew.
Speaking to Spinbet , Bellew was open to the idea, and made it clear he thought he would be the winner.
He said: “Was Carl Froch really joking? You really never know with Carl. I don’t know what the price would be to get me in the ring to fight Carl in an exhibition, but it wouldn’t go the distance I can tell you that much.
“ Never say never. It wouldn’t take place at Goodison Park, but Carl wouldn’t see the final bell let me tell you that.
“If somebody offers me the right price, then I’m sorry to say that I am fighting again.
“Everybody has a price and everyone on social media can say what they like but if everybody needs to get paid and if they offer the right price then you do it and get on it.”
