2025 is now underway and, like the previous year, numerous exciting fights are set to take place.

On February 22, live on DAZN, an incredible night of boxing will take place in Saudi Arabia as Daniel Dubois defends his world title against Joseph Parker.

More big fights are expected over the next 12 months and Tony Bellew has provided several big battles he’d like to see.

Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury

This is the heavyweight battle that has long been in the making, but if it doesn’t happen this year then I’m not confident we ever see it all.

Both men have tried twice to beat Oleksandr Usyk and been unsuccessful, so all that's left is for them to face each other and settle this rivalry that has been going on for years.

Is each fighter at their peak? Probably not, but both need a win after big setbacks in 2024 and this is the fight to bring out the best in both men.

Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol 2

We’re already getting this in February, but how can this fail to be one of the biggest fights of the year?

Light-heavyweight glory will once again be on the line as the power of Beterbiev goes up against the incredible skill set of Bivol.

Beterbiev’s relentlessness got him over the line when they clashed in October, but who will have learnt more from that first contest?

I’m expecting another quality encounter, and I can’t wait to see what happens.

Jai Opetaia vs Zurdo Ramirez

It wouldn't be fair to miss out my old weight division and there’s two fighters there right now who’ve impressed me in a big way recently.

Jai Opetaia and Zurdo Ramirez are by far the world’s best two cruiserweights and when you have two guys like that out in front, you have to know who is the best.

Both will fancy the fight as they each believe in themselves massively and I’m pretty certain that we’ll get to see them go at it in 2025.

Naoya Inoue vs Bam Rodriguez

Naoya Inoue and Bam Rodriguez are two of my favourite fighters, but I’m fully aware a few things would need to fall into place for this fight to happen.

Along with Roman Gonzalez, these two have put a real emphasis on the lower weight categories in recent years and it’d be fitting to see them have a huge bout around the super-bantamweight mark.

Inoue may have bigger goals like moving up to featherweight or even beyond, but the quality of these two would make it a must watch fight.

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford

Canelo AlvarezIf Joshua vs. Fury is the biggest fight that can be made in boxing, Canelo vs. Crawford is surely just behind it. Rey Del Rio / Premier Boxing Champions

Two pound-for-pound names with incredible records, and the opportunity for Crawford to do something uncredible.

We’ve seen both these men in some of boxing’s biggest fights and if they were to meet in a big title fight at super-middleweight, I’m confident the eyes of the world would be watching.
