Derek Chisora looks set to continue with his career, but there’s one fighter who Tony Bellew doesn’t want to see his good friend face.
Bellew and Chisora have been close for a number of years and have always been supportive of each other’s careers.
After walking away from boxing in 2018, Bellew has been on hand to see Chisora hit the final lap of his run in boxing.
Earlier this summer, Chisora defeated Joe Joyce and declared his intentions to fight on, but Bellew has urged the former world title challenger to stay away from one name.
“Johnny Fisher is a young, explosive heavyweight and that is the last thing someone like Derek needs at the stage of his career that he is at,” said Bellew when speaking to Fightlens.
“That fight five years ago would be a proper 50/50.That is where Johnny Fisher finds out if he has got it or not.
“Right now, that is an unfair match, in my opinion, and I don’t want to see Derek taking an awful lot of shots in that fight.”
