Turki Alalshikh has revealed his plan to revive the career of former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
Following back-to-back defeats to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, Wilder's career is at a crossroads with some calling for the American to retire.
Ahead of his meeting with Zhang in June, Wilder stated that a loss would see him announce his retirement, but two months later, a decision is yet to be made.
Now Alalshikh has opened the door for Wilder to have one last chance at returning to the top table of an exciting heavyweight division and even discussed the possibility of Derek Chisora being an opponent for the 38-year-old.
"They asked me [about Wilder-Chisora] and I said clearly if he is getting himself back, why not?" Alalshikh said during an interview with Charlie Parsons on X.
"But, believe me, I tried two times and it’s not happened."
Chisora is on the closing straight of what has been an entertaining career, and he declared after his win over Joe Joyce in July that he will fight two more times before retiring from boxing.
