In four days, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury meet for a second time, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View, with heavyweight glory on the line.

Here, as part of DAZN News's Big Fight Countdown, we look back at the first fight and what it meant to have all four world titles up for grabs for the first time in heavyweight history.

The heavyweight division has had undisputed champions before depending on the circumstances that existed with belts.

The WBO existed when Lennox Lewis was crowned undisputed champion in 1999, following a two-fight series with Evander Holyfield where the first battle was controversially scored a draw.

However, at the time, it still was not recognised enough to be considered part of the undisputed eligibility.

That all changed just a few years later when Oscar De La Hoya and Bernad Hopkins collided at middleweight in 2004 to decide who would be boxing’s first ever four belt champion, and it was Hopkins who came out on top.

Since that memorable battle, there has been many undisputed clashes, but none in the heavyweight division. That is until 2024 when Usyk and Fury met for four belt supremacy.

Usyk brought three of these belts into the ring after defeating Joshua in 2021 to take the WBA, WBO, and IBF, all belts previously held by Fury, but on May 18, they belonged to the Ukrainian.

Fury came into the contest as the owner of the WBC title, a prize he took from Deontay Wilder in 2020, and one he had defended several times.

Each man wanted what the other had, but two does not go into one. There could only one king of the heavyweight division's most important fights.

Fury began well in the contest as he built up a decent lead, but that all changed in round nine when Usyk landed a huge left hand.

Fury retreated, but he could not escape, and with the ropes keeping him up, he received a standing count from the referee.

The 10-8 round in favour of Usyk would prove costly for Fury as his great rival was handed the verdict via split decision after 12 rounds

Boxing had waited so long for its first ever four belt heavyweight champion.

Who knows when we will see one again?
