The WBC champion is in training ahead of April's bout with Dillian Whyte.

Jarrell Miller has been called up to spar with Tyson Fury as the WBC champion prepares for his title defence against Dillian Whyte. Martin Bakole and David Adeleye have also been used as ways to sharpen his skills.

Whyte and Fury fight on April 23rd after the mandatory challenger was finally given the nod after years of waiting.

While the challenger has kept a low profile in the run-up to the clash, Fury has been active on social media and giving an insight to his preparation.

On the Instagram of More Media Hits, Miller’s publicist, he was shown in Morecambe posing with Fury, former WBO world champion Joseph Parker, and Fury’s trainer SugarHill Steward.

Fury had been planning to fight spar with Jared Anderson, who was due on the card of Fury-Whyte, but the heavyweight suffered an injury and has been replaced.

Miller has been repeatedly suspended from fighting due to failed drugs tests for performance-enhancing substances, and was given a two-year ban when he tested positive for a banned substance in 2020 before a scheduled July 2020 fight with Jery Forrest. Miller’s last competitive action was in November 2018 when he beat Bogdan Dinu in November 2018.

While he is unable to fight until June this year, he is allowed to spar with other fighters and so has found work helping Fury prepare for the second title defence of his career, the first coming against Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas last October.
