The WBC champion thinks he dealt serious damage to the Bronze Bomber

Tyson Fury thinks he may have ended Deontay Wilder’s career after his brutal stoppage.

Both fighters were sent to the canvas more than once on Saturday night in Las Vegas, but the defending WBC champion was able to force the referee’s intervention in the 11th round with a fierce right hander.

Wilder was sent to the hospital for precautionary checks after the fight, and speaking after the clash, Fury claimed that he might have connected with the Bronze Bomber so solidly that he might have to retire.

"I have not seen the actual knockout, but I felt it,” the 33-year-old said in a post-fight press conference.

“I felt he was getting tired and fatigued and I hit him solid with a crunching right hook right in the side of the temple. Shots like that end careers.

“I just hope he is ok, he took a lot of punishment. We will see what he can do in the future.”
