Tyson Fury has tipped Conor McGregor to edge his rivalry with Dustin Poirier this Saturday night.
Fury, deep into camp in Las Vegas as he prepares for his own trilogy meeting with Deontay Wilder, believes that the Irish hero can get back to his best and claim a valuable win at UFC 264.
The pair first met back in 2014 when McGregor was just too strong as stopped Poirier just seconds into the contest.
After rebuilding his career somewhat, Poirier was better prepared earlier this year as he scored a second round TKO to gain revenge and set up an intriguing third meeting with his great rival.
Fury, a frequent user of the UFC gym in Nevada, pulled no punches when he was asked his verdict on this weekend’s blockbuster meeting.
"My prediction for the McGregor-Poirier fight is that I think McGregor will win this time," Fury said when speaking to UFC’s social media team. "He's been training hard and he's got it all to prove. It's going to be a great event and one to watch, so tune in."
