'No confusion at all!' - Tyson Fury rubbishes mixed signals claims from corner in Oleksandr Usyk loss

The Briton appeared to be getting some conflicting messages during his first fight with the Ukrainian, but says it was not the case during the bout.

Tyson Fury has played down suggestions he was getting confused instructions from his corner during his loss to Oleksandr Usyk, ahead of their rematch, live on DAZN.

At Riyadh Season's Reignited event this December, the Briton will bid to avenge a first career loss when he steps back into the ring against the unified heavyweight champion.

During the bout, Fury - who appeared to toy with his opponent in the early stages - appeared to receive mixed signals from his cornermen, including father John.

But speaking ahead of his return to Riyadh's Kingdom Arena to fight Usyk once again in Saudi Arabia, the fighter shut down the idea that such words had any impact on the result.

"No confusion at all," he said. "You could have Angelo Dundee, Ray Arcel, Emmanual Steward, everyone in your corner, but when you’re on heat, it means s—t anyway.

"Whoever is in the corner that late on in the fight [means nothing]. I’m going to do what I’m going to do. At the end, it wasn’t like I didn’t feel like I wasn’t going to get the decision

"It doesn’t mean anything, because it's all someone’s opinion. Opinions mean s—t to me, because at the end of the day, he’s got his decision. That's it, onto the next one."

Fury was defeated by split decision, and has frequently suggested he felt he won the fight against Usyk, having given the Ukrainian arguably the toughest bout of his career yet.

The pair's rematch will be a hotly anticipated affair, with Fury bringing rising prospect Moses Itauma on board to spar with him during his training camp too.
