If you thought Tyson Fury having a WWE match was a one-off, guess again.
During an interview with "Behind The Gloves," the lineal heavyweight champion vowed that not only will he be back in a WWE ring, but that he also intends to return on "The Grandest Stage of Them All" — WrestleMania 36 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5, 2020.
"I'm going to go back and destroy Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble — WrestleMania rather — in Florida," Fury told the show's host Michelle Joy Phelps. "Yeah, Why not? After I beat (Deontay) Wilder, I'm coming for Brock."
This comes after Fury already defeated WWE superstar Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel in late October. The "Gypsy King" against "The Beast" at WrestleMania would certainly up the ante on Fury's budding WWE profile.
However, Fury must deal with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder first, as the two are set to fight their rematch on Feb. 22 in Las Vegas.
"This is the biggest heavyweight fight of my lifetime, anyway," Fury said, "and there won't be a bigger one anytime soon."
While his focus is on Wilder after the two fought to a draw last December, Fury aims to fight Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 in April and then have a trilogy fight with "The Bronze Bomber."
Following that, Fury has his sights set on one other dream bout.
"I want to fight Wilder and if he wants the rematch, I'll fight him again and then I want to fight Stipe (Miocic), the UFC heavyweight champion," Fury added. "He wants to have a boxing match. He wants to come over to boxing, where the big dollars are. Welcome to my world."
