Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou: Former UFC champ explains why boxing world shouldn't count Ngannou outDAZN
Is the boxing community sleeping on Ngannou?

Kamaru Usman realizes Francis Ngannou trying his hand at boxing against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury on October 28 is a tall order.

However, the former UFC welterweight world champion believes that Ngannou has the "great equalizer" that gives him a legit shot to upset Fury — and because of that, the boxing world shouldn't count out Ngannou.

"Obviously, Francis is not a full-time boxer, so it's not going to be different. The mechanics are going to be a little bit different, but the one thing Francis has, God has blessed him with power," Usman told TMZ Sports.

"If he touches your head anywhere in this radius right here (pointing all around his head), it does not matter," Usman continued.

"If [Ngannou] touches you, you might not wake up. And so I give him that chance for sure. But when you're talking about a drawn-out 12-round boxing match on paper, I don't think Francis is as skilled or experienced to win that fight, but Francis has a great equalizer, and that is God-given power. If he touches you, you will go to sleep."

Ngannou produced 10 of his 12 victories in the UFC by the way of knockout.

Also, for what it's worth, the former UFC heavyweight champion also holds the 'Most Powerful Punch' in the world recognition, as confirmed by the Guinness World Records, speaking to that power Usman evoked.
