David Price never got the opportunity to face Tyson Fury in the professional ring, but he’s backing his old rival to become undisputed champion this weekend.
On Saturday, live on DAZN PPV, Fury will clash with Oleksandr Usyk with all four heavyweight titles on the line.
Price, now retired, defeated Fury when the pair competed in the amateur code and their feud continued as professionals despite not meeting.
Price struggled to build the same momentum as Fury, and now he’s backing his fellow Brit to get the job done this weekend.
"I just think Tyson Fury is an expert at being the big man and I think he'll use his size, his weight, his reach,” said Price when speaking to The Express via Grosvenor Sport.
“I think he’ll probably be behind in the fight, but he'll eventually come back and find a way to win late on, that's how I’m seeing it, but anything can happen in heavyweight boxing."
