Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk: Former world heavyweight champion makes knockout prediction

Will we see the heavyweight rivals clash next year?

Oleksandr Usyk’s movement and ability to tire Tyson Fury will enable him to knock out the WBC champion, according to Hasim Rahman.

Usyk and Fury spent the first third of the year trying to secure a bout that would crown an undisputed champion at heavyweight, but a deal couldn’t be reached, leading both men to pursue alternative fights.

Last month, Usyk retained his three world titles with a stoppage win over Daniel Dubois in Poland whilst Fury will partake in a crossover fight against Francis Ngannou in October.

Rahman, a former world champion who shocked the world in 2001 when stopping Lennox Lewis, is firm believer in Usyk and he’s backing the Ukrainian to emerge victorious if the pair ever meet.

"Fury’s size would be an advantage with most heavyweights who just stand in front of you and Fury could lean on and grab, but Usyk is not that type of fighter,” said Rahman when speaking to FightHype

“He’s not going to allow him to just use his weight, and his size, in fact, he’s going to use his weight and size against him. Usyk will make him exhausted and probably knock him out.”
