Usyk was successful against Fury.

David Haye has hit out at the refereeing during Tyson Fury’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk and thinks the latter was denied the chance to score a stoppage.

Usyk hurt Fury in the ninth session and forced a standing count, but there appeared to be a lengthy delay between the start of the count and the action resuming meaning the bell ending the round aided Fury.

The Brit responded well and was there until the final bell and when the scorecards were read out, the knockdown proved crucial.

Haye, speaking to TNT Sports during the broadcast, has hit out at Mark Nelson for his conduct during the incident.

"If Fury was doing that to Usyk it would have been stopped. The referee stopped him and his opportunity.

“Then gave him 20 seconds to completely recover. It looked really bad from ringside. Even Fury fans said, ‘thanks ref.’”
