UFC president Dana White did not seem too surprised by how Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou played out on Friday night.

After troubling WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in October, Ngannou faced Joshua in what was his second professional boxing bout.

However, this contest did not go to plan for Ngannou who was knocked down three times by Joshua who earned a knockout win in the second round.

This second successive loss has posed questions regarding Ngannou's boxing ability and whether he should continue in the sport.

Now White has given his verdict on the fight when speaking to the media after UFC 299 and he claims that Ngannou took advantage of a poorly prepared Fury whilst also showing very little surprise as to the result of the Cameroonian's clash with Joshua.

"If Fury trained for the fight and didn't show up and look like he ate Tyson Fury, that's probably the way that fight would've ended, too," White said.

"Listen, you know how I feel about crossovers into boxing.

"That's how they end, just like that."
