Canelo is a fighter in demand.

Israil Madrimov is confident he can derail all talk of Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford and he’s also eyeing a showdown with the Mexican icon.

Madrimov will look to defend his WBA super-welterweight crown against Crawford on August 3, live on DAZN, and victory can set the unbeaten Uzbek fighter up for further marquee fights.

Since defeating Errol Spence last summer to become undisputed welterweight champion, Crawford’s name has constantly been linked to a battle with Canelo.

That speculation has resurfaced ahead of the Nebraska man’s contest with Madrimov, and it appears the super-middleweight ruler is a target for both fighters.

“Everyone’s dream is to fight the biggest name fighters, and I’m thinking about the task ahead of me, Terence Crawford,” said Madrimov when speaking to Ringside Intel

“Obviously, I see all the talk and people are talking about Canelo-Crawford. Maybe it’s time to talk about Madrimov-Canelo.

“After the fight, of course, I am going to look for the biggest fights. The opportunity to fight Canelo is a special one. I would love that one right after Crawford.”
