Vasiliy Lomachenko believes that Shakur Stevenson is better than both Gervonta "Tank" Davis and Devin Haney.
However, the Ukrainian former lightweight champion acknowledged that the only way to prove his case would be by letting them fight it out.
Lomachenko has been linked with a clash against Haney for the undisputed championship at 135lbs, but first he has to beat Jamaine Ortiz this weekend.
Stevenson failed to make the super featherweight cut for his most recent fight and is anticipated to fight at lightweight in his next match-up, while Davis has been linked to a 140lb bout with Ryan Garcia next, but has fought across a number of weight divisions for much of his career.
Speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show, Lomachenko offered up his theory about why Stevenson was the best of the three, but admitted it was just a guess.
“It’s a good question, and an interesting question. I think we can only guess, and at the same time I believe Shakur Stevenson is the boxer who has more chance,” he explained.
“Let me explain, the reason I’m saying that is when you watch the fights of Davis he takes a lot of punches, with Devin Haney, he got hurt. Shakur Stevenson does not find himself in difficult situations like those fighters. It speaks about better defence.
“We can only be able to answer this when we get a chance to fight each other.”
