Sergio Mora is backing an upset to take place when Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos meet in Australia this weekend.
Lightweight glory will be up for grabs for both men as they each look to become world champion again, and Mora thinks Kambosos can get the job done.
The local favourite will have the backing of the crowd and he’ll be aiming to show the form that saw him defeat Teofimo Lopez in 2021.
Since that win, Kambosos has endured a tough downturn in form including two losses to Devin Haney, but Mora is insistent that he can secure a win against Lomachenko.
“Loma is still a threat. I think he still has enough to win this fight. Loma struggled against a much bigger Teofimo and taller, longer Haney, still both fights were very close,” said Mora when speaking to The Ring.
“Against Kambosos he won’t have that much to overcome physically, but I like Kambosos by close decision. It’ll be extremely hard to get decision down under. Kambosos by decision.”
