Ryan Garcia was moments removed from scoring the biggest victory of his career in a bashing of Devin Haney .
Just then, "King Ry" plopped down into a chair during the post-fight press conference at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and just had to get something off of his chest.
"You know, this is why people need to stop believing everything on the Internet, and stop living in a false reality," Garcia told reporters. "At the end of the day, there's a lot of real s—t going on. The last thing you should worry about is a kid acting crazy on the Internet. Real s—t is going on in the world, open your eyes."
He added: "Kids being hurt, nobody caring. Everybody looking at it like 'Oh, he's just crazy. It's a conspiracy, it's just this, it's just that.' At the end of the day, that s—t was real. I put my reputation on the line, had everyone thinking I was crazy. But at the end of the day, who's the crazy one now?"
Over the course of the entire buildup of the fight, Garcia's controversial social media posts and comments had many questioning whether he had the mental fitness to defeat Haney.
Three knockdowns and a majority decision victory later and Garcia wasn't done taking the 'crazy' card and throwing it right back to his critics.
"I didn't really want to say this but it's the truth. Everybody needs to acknowledge like 'Yo, I'm tripping.' Ya'll were trippin', not me. You guys were tripping. I was actually the one with sanity."
