What 2010 incident with Mike Tyson was Chris Jericho referring to at AEW: Dynamite?DAZN
Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson were involved in a pro wrestling brawl on AEW: Dynamite because of a 2010 incident that Jericho is still upset about. Here's the incident that Jericho is referring to.

Mike Tyson has had the world speculating on whether he'll make a comeback to boxing in some shape or form. He has received offers from Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and there are rumors that he'll engage in an exhibition fight with former rival Evander Holyfield.

Before he does any of that, it appears Tyson has some unfinished business in the world of pro wrestling.

The former heavyweight champion made an appearance at the All Elite Wrestling's Dynamite show on TNT and faced off with Chris Jericho to continue a WWE storyline from a decade ago. It ended with a pro wrestling brawl that involved Jericho's "Inner Circle" crew against Tyson and MMA fighters including Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort and recently retired UFC champion Henry Cejudo.

Obviously, considering that AEW is a rival to WWE, Jericho didn't go into great detail about what started the rivalry. It left people wondering exactly what Jericho was talking about.

Here's the incident that sparked the Chris Jericho vs. Mike Tyson rivalry that will likely end up being a cornerstone for their feud in All Elite Wrestling.

When did the Jericho-Tyson incident happen?

Chris Jericho is referring to a Jan. 11, 2010, episode of "Monday Night Raw" at the Target Center in Minneapolis, where Mike Tyson was the guest host.

What happened between Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson in WWE?

Mike Tyson was the guest host of "Monday Night Raw" and oversaw the proceedings for that evening. After scheduling a triple threat match among Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston and John Cena to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE championship, which was held by Sheamus, Tyson found himself being approached by Chris Jericho to team with him against Unified Tag Team Champions Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Tyson had a sordid history with D-Generation X that dates to 1998 at WrestleMania XIV in Boston. Tyson initially aligned himself with D-X and was set to be the Special Enforcer in Shawn Michaels' WWE Championship defense against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. But Tyson double-crossed Michaels by counting the pin for Austin and later knocking the Heartbreak Kid out after the former champion berated him.

Jericho fully expected to have Tyson on his side. He was wrong.

Prior to the match, Tyson issued a warning to Hornswoggle, who was aligned with D-X, and threatened to "rip his brain out" if he were to get involved in Tyson's tag-team match.

How Mike Tyson double-crossed Chris Jericho

Mike Tyson and Chris Jericho vs. Triple H and Shawn Michaels was the main event of "Monday Night Raw." Tyson started the match off with Michaels and shoved him to the mat twice and dropped him with a shoulder tackle. Michaels tagged in Triple H, who was soon tied up with Tyson. As the two ended up in the corner, Jericho tagged himself in. After getting the upper hand and a near pinfall, Jericho tagged Tyson back in but was interrupted by the appearance of Hornswoggle.

Just then, Shawn Michaels and Triple H's ultimate plan was hatched.

With Jericho distracted and Tyson behind him, the boxing legend removed his shirt to reveal a D-Generation X shirt. Jericho turned and realized that he had been set up. Tyson dropped Jericho with a right hook, allowing Michaels to get the pinfall. D-X stood tall with Tyson as "Monday Night Raw" went off the air.
