Whose '0' will go in Manchester's main event on Saturday?

Joshua Buatsi did not expect to have the main event spotlight on him so quickly after ending up in the same situation for his last fight back in October, but here we are.

The rising light-heavyweight isn't quite ready to challenge for a world title as fellow Rio 2016 Olympian Lawrence Okolie has recently (and successfully). And his name value isn't quite where Eddie Hearn would frequently give him top billing by choice, like Conor Benn for example

Nonetheless, the injury suffered by women's world champion Terri Harper means Buatsi's next challenge, this weekend against fellow unbeaten fighter Daniel Blenda Dos Santos, will indeed close the show. And Buatsi told the world on Thursday that he is not fazed by the platform one bit.

“I’m ready to fight," said Buatsi at the final press conference. "The thing is there may be a target on me, but I’m really from the bottom so the build-up is great but that’s not my mentality.

"I started from nothing as well, moved from Ghana to England, I’ve also come from nothing. I always tell people when I fight, I’ve got nothing to lose, I’m gaining everything and when I go in there the mentally is different. I’ll be there to fight to, I’m there to fight and protect the little that I have.

“I keep laughing when I say this, prior to a fight you say you’re willing to do anything, but when it was time in the ring when that happened, I had to show up for it and I felt I gave a good account and got the win. Saturday night I’ll be there to do whatever it takes to win because I’m in here to fight. We’ll see how it goes."
