The path to an undisputed welterweight champion becomes clearer on Saturday as IBF/WBC champion Errol Spence Jr. takes on WBA (super) titlist Yordenis Ugas from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Spence is back in the ring after missing out on Manny Pacquiao last year due to suffering a detached retina and undergoing eye surgery. Ugas, who was competing on the undercard, stepped up on 11 days notice to defeat Pacquiao and retain the WBA belt.
The winner of the bout could meet WBO champion Terence Crawford to settle who is the best at 147 pounds.
