UPDATE: Wilder vs. Ortiz live updates, highlights from full card
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury had one of the most thrilling fights of 2018, when their heavyweight clash ended in a draw.
However, it shouldn't be overlooked that Wilder had all he could handle earlier in the year, when he faced Luis Ortiz in March 2018.
Wilder won the fight with a 10th-round TKO, but he had to survive a seventh round in which Ortiz rocked him with a right hook, and then unleashed a furry of punches in the final moments of the round.
That seventh round offers all the proof that Ortiz is a formidable opponent for "The Bronze Bomber," and the two are set to face off again on Saturday night from Las Vegas.
Both fighters have said this week that they don't expect the rematch to go the full 12 rounds.
Ortiz (31-1, 26 KOs) is looking to become the first person to defeat Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs) in his professional career, while Wilder is looking to set up a big 2020, in which he could take steps toward becoming the undisputed heavyweight king.
