Albert Bell continued his rise through the super featherweight rankings on Friday night when he went head-to-head with Presco Carcosia.
Bell emerged victorious in a contest which he dominated and it showed in the early stages of the fifth when a right uppercut knocked Carcosia onto the canvas, however the Filipino was able to meet the referee's count.
The 30-year-old continued to apply the pressure as the round progressed and with just 40 seconds remaining, Carcosia was rocked once more, but while he was able to make it to the end of round five, Carcosia's corner had seen enough and pulled their fighter out of the contest.
This win for Bell now sees him extend his record to 24-0 and Friday's win over Carcosia was his seventh by knockout or stoppage.
