It’s been a typically eventful start to Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s fight week in Riyadh.

Fight week is finally here ahead of Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s huge unification bout in Saudi Arabia and it’s been a typically wild start to the week.

The two fighters will meet in the ring in Riyadh on Saturday night in their delayed undisputed world heavyweight title fight and anticipation is building.

Headlines were made on Monday afternoon when there was an altercation between the fighters’ two entourages which culminated in Tyson’s father John emerging with a bloody forehead after appearing to headbutt one of Usyk’s team.

Order was quickly restored and the authorities and both sides are expected to move on from the incident, but the day’s next talking point came when Tyson Fury got up to some less harmful mischief.

The fighter was spotted leaving his media day commitments on crutches, which initially caused some alarm that the fight could again be in doubt before it quickly became apparent that Fury had merely swiped the crutch from someone else in order to amuse himself.

Given Fury’s history, no-one will be surprised if he pulls any other pre-fight pranks in the build-up to Saturday’s contest.
