Wladimir Klitschko scored a number of memorable impressive stoppages during his lengthy career but what fighter does the decorated Ukrainian believe had the best chin?
Klitschko was able to halt several tough operators but it’s Samuel Peter who gets the most praise for his robustness following two battles with Klitschko.
In 2005, with Klitschko looking to rebuild his career following losses to Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster, Klitschko faced Peter for the first time.
Despite being dropped three times, Klitschko held on to win on points before defeating the same opponent via tenth round stoppage five years later.
Although holding two wins over the Nigerian star, Klitschko has high praise for Peter.
“Samuel Peter in 2005. I hit him with so many clean shots and in the 12th round I thought I broke my knuckles with a left hook,” said Klitschko when speaking to The Ring about the best chin he come up against.
“He wobbled but he was still on his feet. I think I took life out of him in that fight because he was hit so much. In the first fight his determination and will to win was amazing.”
