Brian Norman Sr, the trainer of his son, Brian Jr, is keen to secure a unification fight with Jaron Ennis.  

Norman Jr was upgraded to world champion after Terence Crawford's move to super-welterweight and he could be heading straight into a huge fight in his first defence. 

The 147lbs division has long been one of boxing's standout weight categories, but with the likes of Crawford and Errol Spence moving up, new fighters are ready to emerge.  

Norman and Ennis are two of those boxers intent on making the division their own, and a fight between the pair appears to be close. 

“We want this fight to happen,” said Norman Sr when speaking about the situation to <a href="https://www.brunchboxing.com/items-1/jaron-ennis-and-brian-norman-jr.-very-close-to-unification-bout" target="_blank">BrunchBoxing</a>. 

“Ennis wants this fight to happen, the welterweight division needs this fight to happen, and we’re gonna make it happen.”
