Current WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez has expressed his desire to face Terence Crawford in his next fight.
Crawford became a four-weight world champion last weekend when he beat Israil Madrimov to become the WBA light middleweight titleholder.
As a result of his success and the eyeballs he brings to any contest he is involved in, a number of big name fighters are wanting to face Crawford in the future.
One of those is Lopez who made a successful defence of his world title in June against Steve Claggett in June.
While a meeting with Crawford will probably mean that Lopez will have to go up two weight classes to face one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters, Lopez claimed that this will make a win over the Nebraska man all the sweeter.
"It’s up to him, whatever the case, I would really like to face Terence Crawford next," Lopez told The Stomping Ground when asked about what Crawford should do next before detailing how he would beat the current WBA 154lb champion.
"My way, like Frank Sinatra, I did it my way," Crawford continued.
"Going up two weight classes will make it much more sweeter, it’s like putting the cherry on top of the cake with the icing."
