World champion promises to steal show on Canelo vs. Berlanga undercardDAZN
There's an exciting co-main event in the upcoming card.

Erislandy Lara believes his fight against Danny Garcia will be the one to watch on September 14.

Lara and Garcia are fighting as the co-main event on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga card, and while the unified super middleweight world title bout will grab the headlines, Lara feels it could be overshadowed on the night by his own title match.

“Danny Garcia is a great fighter, a multiple-division world champion, and like me, he’s one of the best fighters of this generation,” Lara said. “This is going to be the fight of the night. I knocked out my last three opponents, and I’m training to make it four.

“This is going to be a tough fight, I know that. But every fight at the championship level is tough and has its challenges. I’m preparing hard for Danny and I believe that my experience fighting at this weight will be an advantage.”

Lara, 41, is putting his WBA middleweight belt on the line against Garcia, who makes his return to the ring more than two years after defeating Jose Benavidez Jr. in July 2022.
