Yuniel Dorticos (24-1, 22 KOs) and Mairis Briedis (26-1, 19 KOs) both made weight for the second cruiserweight tournament final in the World Boxing Super Series.
Cuba's Dorticos hit the scales just under the 200-pound limit at 199.5 pounds, while Latvian Briedis measured slightly lighter at 198 pounds at the Plazamedia Broadcasting Center in Munich, Germany, where the bout will take place this weekend.
It has been 15 months since the duo booked their place in the second-season final, due to delays caused by an appealed result and the coronavirus pandemic.
Those semi-final wins came on the same card in Briedis' home town of Riga as he and Dorticos — who were defeated semi-finalists in the first cruiserweight WBSS tournament for their only professional defeats so far — scored big KO wins last June.
In addition to tournament glory and the Muhammad Ali Trophy, the main eventers will be battling for Dorticos' IBF cruiserweight championship and the vacant The Ring title.
Elsewhere, the undercard also weighed in for their contests.
Germany's Denis Radovan (13-0-1, 6 KOs) weighed 158.75 pounds, while Robert Talarek (24-13-3, 16 KOs) of Poland came in at 159.8 pounds in their 10-round middleweight contest, which will serve as chief support to the WBSS final.
Radovan's compatriot Leon Bunn (15-0, 8 KOs) weighed 170 pounds, and Finland’s Timo Laine (27-13) weighed 170.4 pounds for their eight-round bout above the super middleweight limit, while another native German fighter Sophie Alisch (5-0, 1 KO) weighed 125.25 pounds for her eight-round featherweight clash with Hungarian Edina Kiss (15-13, 9 KOs), who weighed 125.6 pounds.
Dorticos vs. Briedis airs live on Sky Sports in the U.K. and DAZN in the United States on Saturday.
