The Ashes 2023: When is the second test? Preview, dates and start timeDAZN

After all the build-up, the latest Ashes series got underway this past Friday when England and Australia went head-to-head in the first test match at Edgbaston.

It's safe to say it was a near perfect game of test cricket. It was a match which ebbed and flowed which went down to the wire on the fifth and final day.

In the end it was Australia who emerged victorious after a 55-run ninth wicket partnership between Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon steered the Aussies past England's 281 second innings total.

Following a game as intense as Edgbaston, excitement levels for the second test are at fever pitch with the biggest question being whether England will continue to implement the 'Bazball' philosophy which has made Ben Stokes' team a must-watch for cricket fans across the world.
