Curtis Blaydes needs to be wary of UK fans says Tom Aspinall

Curtis Blaydes needs to be wary of UK fans says Tom AspinallDAZN

After a successful event in March, the UFC returns to London's O2 Arena, and once again heavyweight Tom Aspinall headlines, taking on Curtis Blaydes.

Aspinall put on a show when he was last in action four months ago, submitting Alexander Volkov in the first round which sparked pandemonium in the arena.

Now the 29-year-old is ready to produce a similar performance on Saturday night and believes there is still a lot more to come when it comes to his ability inside the Octagon.

“I have so much that I haven’t shown. People don’t know what to expect, nobody has got an idea. Not Curtis or anyone else in the heavyweight division - they don't know what I bring to the table," Aspinall said in an exclusive interview with DAZN

"I’ve shown ten percent of my game because my octagon time is so short. No one has really seen what I can do, so no one knows, which is a massive advantage.

“He brings a massive threat in the wrestling department, so I'm prepared for that. I’ve prepared for everything.

"This is MMA: you have to be prepared, you can’t be like, 'He’s just going to come out and try to take me down.'

"He’s got great takedowns but I'm ready for his striking as well."

Aspinall also gave a warning to his opponent about the atmosphere British UFC fans can create, which could have a massive effect on who comes out victorious come Saturday night.

“You need to take into account that English fans are different. The UK fans are different to any other fans in the world. They are absolutely wild.

"They will either make you or break you. You need to take them on board when you fight in the UK because it is different."
