Claressa Shields made history as the first woman MMA fighter to win in Saudi Arabia.
Shields was fighting on the preliminary card for the PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions event in the Kingdom, which was live on DAZN.com/
Shields was in action for her third fight under the PFL franchise umbrella and she faced Kelsey DeSantis in the prelims before some huge fights.
The American - unbeaten in boxing - had one win and one defeat going into the event, but emerged as 2-1 with a split-decision victory after going the distance.
Speaking in the cage after her win, Shields acknowledged that she had been pushed hard by her opponent, conceding that she almost suffered a broken arm.
She said: "It's not easy what I'm trying to do and I've been so respectful of the sport... I almost got my arm snapped in the freakin' armbar."
