Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is putting plans in place for life after the cage and those plans will come as a surprise to some fans.
Strickland was defending his middleweight title last weekend at UFC 297, but lost to Dricus Du Plessis on the judges' scorecards.
While there are no signs of Strickland walking away from the sport just yet, the American clearly has a goal to what he wants to achieve outside of the Octagon when he posted the following on his personal X account.
"After I'm done fighting in a few years and I'm sitting on a big pile of money I probably will run for some public office position...," Strickland wrote.
"I'll never win but I'd rather do something I care about instead of starting a CBD company lmao."
