Brave Combat Federation’s third event in nine days is closer than ever and takes place this Friday, October 28, as Brave CF 65 will bring the Kingdom of Bahrain to a standstill with 11 electric bouts taking over the iconic Khalifa Sports City Arena. And a day before fight night, all 22 fighters stepped in the scale for the ‘’fight before the fight’’: making weight.
In the main event, Hamza Kooheji and Eduardo Mora confirmed their much-anticipated duel, as former bantamweight world title challenger Kooheji made his featherweight return official by weighing in at 66.1kg, while his opponent, ‘’El Burro’’ Mora stepped in slightly below 65.9kg.
The co-main event was also confirmed with Izzedine Al-Derbani and Jose ‘’Shorty’’ Torres making weight for their bantamweight bout. It will be an interesting contest, as Al-Derbani, who stepped in at 61.7kg, has come down to bantamweight for the first time after spending the majority of his career between lightweight and featherweight. Curiously enough, ‘’Shorty’’ (61.6kg) will be coming up to bantamweight after a successful albeit problematic run at flyweight under Brave CF.
Out of all athletes involved in tomorrow’s fight card, only Issa Salem was unable to make weight. He stepped in at 59.4kg for his 59kg catchweight bout (which has no pound allowance) against Hussain Ayyad (58.7kg). The fight will still take place, but ‘’Boykat’’ will forfeit 20% of his purse to Ayyad.
Brave CF 65 - taking place this Friday, October 28th - will be headlined by Bahrain’s Kooheji and Colombia’s Eduardo Mora in a featherweight cracker at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, concluding the epic nine-day Kombat Kingdom festival.
