"The Last Stylebender" had something to get off his chest.

Israel Adesanya is focused on defeating middleweight world champion Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 this weekend.

But that didn't stop him from addressing the UFC's editing out of Francis Ngannou's name during the UFC 305 Countdown promotional video .

The video shows edited footage of Adesanya speaking at the UFC 305 Pre-Sale Press Conference and saying: "There's always tension whenever you fight anyone. This is a fight at the end of the day, we're not playing chess. We're fighting so there's always gonna be tension there but him discrediting me, Kamaru Usman ..."

Adesanya's original words at that Pre-Sale Press Conference also had him mentioning du Plessis discrediting "Francis Ngannou" yet his name was edited out.

That removal of Ngannou's name drew the ire of Adesanya during the UFC 305 media day on Wednesday.

“You can’t erase Francis’ legacy in the UFC,” Adesanya told reporters at UFC 305 media day, referring to the former UFC heavyweight world champion who has since signed on with the PFL.

“It’s part of what we’ve done. It’s forever in history, in stone. So trying to whitewash it or just not talk about it is silly."

Adesanya added: “And I know he’s fighting for the PFL right now, but it’s still history. You can’t just turn a blind eye to it. I’m sure they’ll fix it eventually. This is how business goes with the UFC.”
