Jordan Leavitt isn't star-struck ahead of Paddy Pimblett fightDAZN

Paddy Pimblett may be a novice in the UFC with a 2-0 record, but the Liverpool man is quickly becoming one of the biggest stars in MMA.

His star power was evident when the UFC was last in London four months ago. Pimblett soaked up the electric atmosphere and produced a first round submission win over Rodrigo Vargas.

Pimblett will be looking to do something similar this coming Saturday when the UFC returns to London, but his opponent Jordan Leavitt has made it clear he will not be getting swept up in the aura that follows one of the sport's rising stars.

"When you separate the flash from this fight it’s not that interesting at all. I don’t follow him on social media. I didn’t know about Paddy until he had his debut. So I don't think I'll be star-struck. I don't really see him as a star," Leavitt said in an exclusive interview with DAZN

"He’s just a guy who is 2-0 in the UFC. He’s fought guys with losing records There’s plenty of guys like that on the roster, so I'm trying to separate myself from the flash. On paper I'm not too interested in this match-up to be honest.

“I’m too smart to make some of the mistakes some of his opponents have made. If I take him down I'm not letting him up. If I hurt him I won’t let up the pressure.

“I’ll finish the fight, twerk, and go home."
