The UFC is hosting it's first pay-per-view event of the year live from Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, Jan. 18. There was some thought that the UFC could move the event from Intuit Dome due to the catastrophic fires raging throughout the cities surrounding Inglewood, but so far, the event is happening as scheduled.
UFC 311 is slated for two title fights with lightweight champion Islam Makhachev taking on Arman Tsarukyan in the main event. The co-main event is a highly anticipated match-up between new bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili and rising star Umar Nurmagomedov. The two have been going back and forth on social media even before Dvalishvili became champion and there's going to be bad blood and big tension riding on this title fight.
It will be the first defense for Dvalishvili, who won the title last year by defeating Sean O'Malley at the UFC's historic Las Vegas Sphere event.

The event is currently slated for the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. The location could still change due to the wild fires in the county. The Los Angeles Rams game on Monday was moved to Arizona due to the smoke from the fires. At press time, it's on schedule to take place as planned.
